Introduction |
|
The Institute of Marketing & Management was set up in the year 1969 as a registered, non-profit, autonomous Society with the purpose of making Marketing and management more scientific, utilitarian and prestigeous. It has also pioneered in the fields of Research, Training, Conferences, Publications and created various fora for interaction among top and senior level executives and personnel.
Much in line with this thinking, the institute had set up Awards for Excellence which have been in existence since 1974. These Awards have acquired a national character and become covetous mainly because of the purpose for which they are given and the selection procedure adopted. These Awards have been conferred upon both individual Professionals and Organisations in various fields. Having won these Awards, many of them, over the years, have grown and carved out a name for themselves in their respective fields. A few of them have also won Padmashrees from the President of India.

To give recognition to growth, creativity, professionalism, ethics, customer satisfaction and fulfillment of social obligations. To provide encouragement to entrepreneurship, innovation and competition. To create a feeling of participation and greater interaction. To motivate managers and organizations for achieving further excellence.

Selection
Criteria |

The following criteria (whichever applicable)
are applied:
Growth of the Organization (Sales Turnover, Profit, Net Worth, Market Shares etc. over the last 3 years)- Product Development and Management- Human Resource Development- New Markets Captured- Customer Satisfaction and Consumer Education Contributions made to the Profession-Innovations made in the field, including new techniques of Marketing and Management- Social Obligations met, and so on. The decision of the Panel is final and not subject to contest anywhere.

Entry
Procedure |
|
Nomination is to be made for an Award and should be sent with all the relevant enclosures describing achievements and relevant statistics. The applicant should also clearly mention the category of the Award for which he/she wishes to be considered. Documents/Cassettes submitted by the contestants are not returnable.
Last date for the receipt of entries is
December 31, 2004.

The 2006 IMM Awards will be presented by a V.V.I.P. at the Inaugural Function of the 33rd World Marketing Congress which shall be held on January 20, 2006 at New Delhi.
