It is well known around the world that India is going to be the Education Hub of the world with 20 new world-class Universities being set up by the Government of India, upgrading present Universities, establishing new IITs and IIMs, and encouraging setting up of private Universities and so on. It will thus attract a number of students from around the world converging in India. It is also well known that areas like:

Engineering & Technology, IT & Management, Tourism & Hospitality, Agriculture

to mention a few, have received worldwide recognition, particularly from developing countries as a world class setup in education. It amounts to ushering in India rechristened Nalanda and Takshila times at comparatively lower cost but with high quality education.

Therefore, Indira Gandhi National Open University and the Institute of Marketing & Management are joining hands to put India’s “Higher Education” on a selective basis, on the marketing map of the world by organizing the above mentioned Summit as a sequel to the one already hosted during November 2007.

The proposed Summit will certainly attract top class talent from educational institutions of the categories listed above.

It will not only expose but also spotlight the importance of an attractive offer before a galaxy of participants drawn from foreign missions in India, eminent professionals, education experts and so on. The Summit will also seek endorsement and participation from relevant educational institutions, Education Departments of State Governments, Ministry of Human Resource Development, apex bodies like AICTE, University Grants Commission, Association of Indian Universities and so on.
