For the last 04 decades, the Institute of Marketing & Management (IMM) has been helping Indian industry and businesses, as a catalyst, for succeeding in providing trained managers and marketers, carrying out research studies, organizing conferences & seminars on relevant themes, thus encouraging excellence in various fields. International Management Development Programme (IMDP) is an attempt to train the Indian executives on various aspects of corporate and national interest.

The Institute hosted a series of  of IMDPs in 2007 starting with one at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on "Doing Business with Malaysia" at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia during August 13-14, 2007 in colLabouration with the Institute of Marketing, Malaysia at  Hotel Grand Seasons, Kuala Lumpur. The Marketing Guru, Prof. Philip Kotler addressed the delegates on: Improving Marketing's Role and Relationships in the Organization, Finding New Opportunities, Finding New Ways to Communicate and Using New Technologies and Measuring Results. The Conference was inaugurated by H.E. Mr.Nagendra K.Saxena, Deputy High Commissioner, High Commission of India to Malaysia.  The other prominent speakers include Mr. Dzulkifli Mahmud, Director-West Asia/Africa Section, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation; Mr. Arham Abdul Rahman, Deputy Director, Foreign Investment Promotion Division for Director General, Malaysian Industrial Development Authority, Malaysia; Mr.Fozian Ismail, Director of Financing and Monitoring Division, Small and Medium Industries Development Corporation, Kuala Lumpur; Mr. Ramesh Kodammal, Managing Director, Goldtex Group of Companies, Malaysia.

The international delegates comprised of Organizations/companies such as
Malaysian Industrial Development Authority; Asia Pacific Marketing Federation, Sri Lanka; Diesel & Motor Engineering Co. The 2nd in the series was hosted on “How to do business between India and Switzerland & how to use Switzerland as the gate to Europe“ by the Institute of Marketing & Management at Berne, Switzerland in colLabouration with Branding Institute, Berne and University of Berne during September 24-27, 2007 at the Conference Hall, University of Berne, Switzerland. The Partners Organizations were Berne Economic Development Agency; UBS AG; Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PWC). Mr. Alexander Jschapatt, Mayor of Berne inaugurated the Conference. H.E. Mr. Amitava Tripathi, Ambassador of India to Switzerland hosted the Dinner on September 24, 2007.
